Hindi ako tatakbo sa Senado sa 2019- Bongbong Marcos
SINABI ni dating senador Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na wala siyang planong tumakbo sa pagka-senador sa 2019 para matapos niya ang kanyang electoral protest laban kay Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo.
“I am not running for Senate in 2019. Tatapusin ko ang petisyong ito dahil naniniwala ako na tapat ang aking laban… I am determined to finish with this petition. Hindi ko titigilan ito,” sabi ni Marcos.
Idinagdag ni Marcos na buo na ang kanyang pasya kahit pa iendorso siya ni Pangulong Duterte o makasama sa listahan ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban).
“Kahit i-endorse, that won’t stop me from (pursuing) the protest. I don’t see any reason why I would change my mind. Why would I run for senator, I already won as vice president,” dagdag ni Marcos.
Inakusahan ni Marcos ang kampo ni Robredo ng pandaraya matapos siyang matalo ng 230,000 boto.
Pumasok si Marcos sa 12 mga kandidato na posibleng manalo sa Senado sa pinakahuling survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey na isinagawa noong conducted noong Disyembre 8 hanggang 17, 2017.
