Fixer na si Taguba sinampahan ng P850M tax evasion case
SINAMPAHAN ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ang fixer na si Mark Ruben Taguba, na siyang isinasangkot sa P6.4 bilyong shabu na naipuslit sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) noong 2016.
Sinabi ni BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay na kumita si Taguba ng P1.2 bilyon bilang fixer sa BOC noong 2016.
“Based on the congressional inquiries and data obtained from the BOC, a total of 7,458 and 7,694 container vans were brought-in by Mr. Taguba’s consignees for 2016 and 2017, respectively,” sabi ni Dulay.
“For 2016 alone, Taguba earned P1,267,860,000 at P170,000 per container van,” dagdag ni Dulay.
Idinagdag ni Dulay na mismong si Taguba ang umamin sa pagdinig ng Kongreso na binabayaran siya ng P170,000 hanggang P190,000 kada container van.
