IBINASURA ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ang kasong droga na inihain laban kay dating Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon kaugnay ng P6.4 bilyong halaga ng shabu na nakalusot sa Bureau of Customs noong Mayo.
Bukod kay Faeldon, inabswelto rin ng DOJ sina Director Milo Maestrecampo, Director Neil Estrella, Intelligence Officer Joel Pinawin, Intelligence Officer Oliver Valiente, Atty. Jeleena Magsuci, Atty. Philip Maronilla, Alexandra Y. Ventura, Randolph O. Cabansag, Dennis J. Maniego, Dennis Cabildo at John Edillor.
Sinabi ng DOJ na nabigo ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) na magpresenta ng karagdagang ebidensiya para patunayang nilabag nila ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
“Further, the evidence adduced by the PDEA in support of the charges were insufficient to establish probable case. Thus, the Panel is constrained to take into consideration the defense raised by the respondents,” sabi ng resolusyon ng DOJ.
