Kaso vs DU30 sa ICC dinagdagan

Leifbilly Begas - June 06, 2017 - 08:00 PM
Naghain ng supplemental complaint sa International Criminal Court sa The Hague, Netherlands sina Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano at Sen Antonio Trillanes IV upang palakasin umano ang kasong isinampa laban kay Pangulong Duterte.     Inihain ang 45 pahinang communication sa Office of the Prosecutor of ICC upang dagdagan umano ang mga reklamo na inihain na ni Atty. Jude Sabio kaugnay ng paglabag umano ni Duterte sa Articles of Rome Statute dahil sa extra judicial killings sa bansa na katumbas ng crimes against humanity.     “The case of crimes against humanity against Duterte is very solid. He repeatedly, explicitly and clearly pronounced a national policy of killing drug suspects and the PNP executed it,” ani Trillanes.       Sinabi naman ni Alejano na naisara na ang pintuan upang mapanagot si Duterte nang ibasura ng Kamara de Representantes ang impeachment complaint.       “As to the complementarity requirements, the abruptly terminated Senate hearings plus Duterte’s immunity from suit and with the junking of the impeachment complaint, prove that our government is unwilling and unable to prosecute the perpetrators of the crimes. Therefore, there is still a continuing veil of impunity which enables the carrying out of state-sponsored killings. It is in this regard that we are calling on the ICC to intervene and conduct preliminary examination of the situation in the country in order to prevent further extra-judicial killings and render justice in the country,” ani Alejano.
