Higit 70 motorista huli sa ‘texting while driving’

UMABOT sa mahigit 70 motorista ang nahuli kahapon ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) sa unang araw ng pagpapatupad ng Anti-Distracted Driving Act (ADD) Law o pagbabawal sa paggamit ng mobile phone at anumang uri ng electronic gadgets habang nagmamaneho.

Sa report ng MMDA, mula alas-6 ng umaga hanggang alas-3 ng hapon, umabot na sa 51 motorista ang nahuli, sa pamamagitan ng “No Contact Apprehension,” sa unang araw nang pagpapatupad ng ADD Law.
Hanggang alas-12 ng tanghali ay naaktuhan ang driver ng limang bus, 12 kotse; 30 motorsiklo at 4 truck.
Ngayong araw naman ipatutupad ang pagbabawal sa mga bata o menor de edad sa pag-angkas sa motorsiklo (Republic Act 10666 or Children’s Safety on Motorcycles Act of 2015).
