Laguna, Batangas apektado rin sa jeepney strike

NARANASAN din ang tigil pasada ng mga pampasaherong jeepney sa ilang bahagi ng  Southern Tagalog, dahilan para mapilitan ang ilang lokal na pamahalaan na isuspinde ang klase sa hapon.

Sinuspinde ng lokal na pamahalaan ng San Pablo, Laguna ang klase sa hapon, samantalang inatasan naman ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Batangas City ang mga paaralan na maagang pauwiin ang mga mag-aaral. Sinabi naman ni Rommel Palacol,  ng Laguna Action Center, na hindi naman apektado ang ibang bahagi ng Laguna sa isinagawang welga ng mga jeepney. Sa isang panayam sa telepono, nagbabala si Stop and Go coalition president Jun Magno na magsasagawa sila ng mas malaking welga sa susunod na mga linggo, matapos umanong hindi naging matagumpay ang naging dayalogo ng grupo sa  Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB). “In some areas, 70 percent (of transport) was paralyzed while less in other areas. So I will just give an average of 40 percent (transport paralysis) in the provinces,” sabi ni Magno. Sinabi ni Magno, na libo-libo ang mga driver ng jeepney na miyembro ng kanilang grupo.
