UMUSAD ang defending champion San Miguel Beermen sa semifinals matapos patalsikin ang Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 98-91, sa kanilang 2017 PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinal round game Linggo sa Ynares Center, Antipolo City.
Umiskor si RR Garcia ng 25 puntos kabilang ang 5-of-7 3-point shooting para pangunahan ang Beermen na may anim na manlalarong gumawa ng doubles figures.
Nagdagdag si June Mar Fajardo ng 14 puntos, sina Arwind Santos at Chris Ross ay may tig-13 puntos habang si Marcio Lassiter ay nag-ambag ng 11 puntos at si Gabby Espinas ay may 10 puntos para sa San Miguel Beer na nakapasok sa best-of-seven semifinal round.
Gumawa si Beau Belga ng 18 puntos para pamunuan ang Rain or Shine na mayroong limang players na umiskor ng double figures.
