Ex-mayor ng Tawi-tawi guilty sa admin case
Guilty ang kasong administratibo ang isang dating mayor sa Tawi-Tawi na hindi umano sumunod sa desisyon ng Civil Service Commission na ibalik ang tatlong empleyado na inalis nito ng walang sapat na batayan noong 2006.
Sa siyam na pahinang desisyon, sinabi ng Ombudsman si dating Siibutu Mayor Kuyoh Pajiji ay guilty sa kasong Abuse of Authority.
Ayon sa Ombudsman hindi sinunod ni Pajiji ang desisyon ng CSC noong Agosto 26, 2011 at Enero 19, 2012, at sulat noong Oktobre 25, 2012, na ibalik ang tatlong empleyado ng munisipyo na ipinatanggal nito.
“He is mandated to ensure that all officers, including himself, faithfully discharge their duties and functions as directed by the Local Government Code,” saad ng Ombudsman.
Ang parusa kay Pajiji ay tatlong buwang suspensyon subalit dahil wala na sa puwesto siya ay pagmumultahin na lamang ng kasing halaga ng kanyang tatlong buwang sahod.
“There is abuse of authority ‘when there is excessive or improper use of a thing, or to employ it in a manner contrary to natural or legal rules for its use, as to abuse one’s authority. Abuse includes misuse’,” saad ng Ombudsman.
