Legendary actress Lolita Rodriguez pumanaw na matapos ma-stroke

SUMAKABILANG-BUHAY na sa edad na 81 ang award-winning veteran actress na si Lolita Rodriguez (Dolores Marquez Clark sa tunay na buhay) nitong nakaraang Lunes, 9:40 a.m. (oras sa Amerika), matapos itong ma-stroke two months ago.

Ayon sa ulat, inatake sa puso ang legendary actress sa Genesis Care Center, Hemet, California.

Taong 1953 nang pasukin ni Lolita Rodriguez ang mundo ng showbiz, siya’y edad 18 noon sa pamamagitan ng pelikulang “Ating Pag-ibig” ng Sampaguita Pictures kasama sina Tita Duran at Pancho Magalona.

Ngunit nagmarka nang husto ang beteranang aktres sa mga pelikulang “Cofradia” (1953); “Kasintahan” (1953); “Tanikalang Apoy” (1955) at “Alipin ng Palad” (1959). Napaasbak din siya sa mga comedy films tulad ng “Jack en Jill” (1955) nila ni Dolphy. Huli siyang napanood sa mga pelikulang “Paradise Inn” (1985); “Lucia” (1992) at “Anak ni Brocka” (2005).
