PANSAMANTALA’Y nagmistulang hotel lounge ang programang “Cristy Ferminute” when it marked its 6th anniversary last Tuesday.

Himself one of the earliest donors ng mga premyong ipina-raffle, Atty. Ferdie Topacio showed up at the studio blocking off his day’s schedule of more pressing commitments.

Minsan nang narinig kumanta ng inyong lingkod ang “enfant terrible” na abogado, had he got derailed off his career path, he must be giving the country’s crooners a run for their money.

Hindi pala ‘yon kataka-taka, pumuwesto pala noon si Atty. Ferdie sa Manila Garden (now Dusit Hotel) whose repertoire would include standard hits.

‘Yun nga lang, he sang his heart to the lawyering profession making him one of the most sought after legal experts.

To his credit, hinawakan niya ang ilang celebrated cases involving past Presidents, dating First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, mga sikat na TV at movie personalities, even alleged murderers.

Because of his showbiz cross-over kung kaya’t Atty. Ferdie seems to be every entertainment reporter’s friend. Maging sa mga selebrasyon ng birthdays ng mga ito, he’s always a familiar sight.

Dahil naroon din lang sa “CFM” ang abogado, could the question about his client (nga lang kaya?) Claudine Barretto be ignored? On the legal side though, sinabi ni Atty. Ferdie that skies are clear now sa pagitan ni Claudine at ni Raymart Santiago.

In fact, napagkasunduan daw ng mga ito na paghatian ang kanilang property in Marikina City which is now up for sale. But since there are no takers yet ay okey lang kay Raymart na doon muna tumira ang aktres. Without going into specifics, mukhang nahilot ni Atty. Ferdie ang problema ng estranged couple.
