MULING inungkat ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagpapaalis sa mga tropa Amerikano sa bansa matapos namang kuwestiyunin ang legalidad ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (Edca) sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at US dahil sa kawalan ng pirma ni dating pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. “Now, May I remind the Americans itong Edca, its an official document but its only signed by an aide and si (dating Defense secretary Voltaire)Gazmin. It does not bear the signature of the president of the Republic of the Philippines, walang pirma si Aquino, wala, better think twice now because I would be asking you to leave the Philippines altogether,” sabi ni Duterte. Idinagdag ni Duterte na muli na niyang pinaparepaso ang dokumento kaugnay ng   Edca. “And after a review of that document, if I find no signature… if you cannot produce a signature bearing the… permit punta-punta kayo.. pati ang war games, tanungin niyo mga military nyo wag ako,” dagdag ni Duterte.
