MASELYUHAN ang silya sa Finals ang hangad ng Barangay Ginebra Kings kontra San Miguel Beermen sa Game Four ng kanilang 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-five semifinal series ngayong alas-6:30 ng gabi sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Naungusan ng Barangay Ginebra ang San Miguel Beer sa Game Three, 97-96, mula sa game-winning jumper ni Japeth Aguilar sa pagtunog ng buzzer para makubra ng Gin Kings ang 2-1 bentahe sa kanilang serye.

Subalit hindi naman naniniwala si Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone na nasa kanila na ang momentum papasok sa laro ngayong gabi.

“Winning one game doesn’t give you momentum,” sabi ni Cone matapos silang magwagi sa harap ng mahigit 14,000 fans na nanood sa Big Dome.

“You have to win more than one game; two gives you a chance (to gain momentum) and three gives you momentum,” sabi pa ni Cone. “But to me, a playoff series is more of a ping-pong match. We just held serve. We have to [break serve] in Game 4.”

Muli namang sasandigan ni Cone sina Justin Brownlee, Aguilar, LA Tenorio at Scottie Thompson, na naging kauna-unahang homegrown rookie sa loob ng 23 taon matapos ni Johnny Abarrientos na nagtala ng triple-double sa kinamadang 12 puntos, 11 rebounds at 10 assists.

Muntikan ding magtala si Tenorio ng triple-double sa ginawang 20 puntos, 10 rebounds at siyam na assists.

Samantala, lumapit ang Meralco Bolts sa pagkubra ng silya sa Finals matapos pataubin ang TNT KaTropa Texters, 119-113, sa Game Three ng kanilang best-of-five semifinal series kahapon.
