Ikalawang puwesto target ng NU Bulldogs, FEU Tamaraws

TATANGKAIN ng National University at Far Eastern University na manalo ngayon para makasalo ang Ateneo de Manila University sa ikalawang puwesto sa pagpapatuloy ng UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball tournament sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.

Makakasagupa ang NU Bulldogs ang University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons alas-2 ng hapon habang makakatapat naman ng FEU Tamaraws ang season host University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers alas-4 ng hapon.

Kasalukuyang nasa ikatlong puwesto ang NU at FEU na parehong may 3-2 kartada habang nasa solong number two spot naman ang Ateneo na may 4-2 baraha.

Huling tinalo ng Bulldogs ang Growling Tigers, 75-68, para makisalo sa tatlong koponang nasa ikatlong puwesto habang kinapos naman ang Fighting Maroons na maitakas ang panalo kontra sa defending champion na Tamaraws upang malasap ang 49-51 kabiguan at mahulog sa 1-5 kartada.

Magkasunod naman na binigo ng Tamaraws ang Fighting Maroons, 51-49, at University of the East Red Warriors, 67-59, upang makihati sa ikatlong puwesto sa 3-2 panalo-talong kartada kasama ang Bulldogs at ang pahingang Adamson University Soaring Falcons.
