Kamara tutulungan ang PSC na makuha ang pondo mula Pagcor
HINDI nakukuha ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang share nito sa kita ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor).
Kaya naman nangako ang House committee on youth and sports development na tulungan ang PSC na nangangailangan ng pondo sa paglinang ng kakayanan ng mga atleta ng bansa.
Sinabi ni Surigao del Sur Rep. Prospero Pichay na sa ilalim ng Pagcor Charter ang limang porsyento ng kita nito ay ibibigay sa PSC.
“The PSC is supposed to get five percent from Pagcor revenues. I don’t think it is easy getting that from Pagcor,” ani Pichay.
Nais ni Pichay na gamitin ng komite ang oversight function nito upang makuha ng PSC ang nararapat na pondo para sa kanila.
“Hence, we do not expect our athletes to get gold medals because of such small subsidy to them,” dagdag pa ni Pichay.
Sa unang kalahati ng taon ay kumita na ang Pagcor ng P20 bilyon.
