P3.3T budget sasalang na sa plenaryo ng Kamara

Sisimulan na sa plenaryo ng Kamara de Representantes ngayong araw ang pagtalakay ng P3.35 trilyong budget ng Duterte administration para sa susunod na taon.
Si House appropriations committee chairman at Davao City Rep. Karlo Alexie Nograles ang mangunguna sa pagdepensa sa budget.
“We will begin the two-week marathon deliberations [from Monday to Friday] of the national budget tomorrow (Monday) to approve this (on third and final reading) by third week of next month and transmit this to the Senate,” ani Nograles.
Sa unang araw ng pagtalakay, sasalang ang budget ng Department of Budget and Management na susundan ng Department of Finance at mga ahensya na nakakabit dito gaya ng Anti-Money Laundering Council at Government Commission for Government-owned and Controlled Corporations.
Sasalang din ang National Economic Development Authority na ipagtatanggol ni Albay Rep. Joey Salceda.
Kampante si House Majority Floor Leader at Ilocos Norte Rep. Rodolfo Fariñas na mararatipika ang budget bago ang adjournment ng sesyon sa Disyembre 14.
Bahagi ng budget ang pagtataas ng conditional cash transfer program na umaabot na sa P78.7 bilyon na paghahati-hatian ng 4.62 milyong pamilya at dagdag na P23.4 bilyong rice allowance.
