Muling binuhay sa Kamara de Representantes ang panukala na ilipat sa Agosto o Setyembre ang pagsisimula ng klase. Inihain ni Paranaque Rep. Eric Olivarez na bukod sa maiiwas sa panahon ng Habagat na nagdadala ng mga pag-ulan, ay maisasabay din ang pasukan sa iba pang bansa sa Southeast Asia na magiging mahalaga umano para sa planong ASEAN Economic Integration. Ilan sa mga paaralan sa bansa ay inilipat na ang pasukan sa Agosto gaya ng University of the Sto. Tomas, University of the Philippines at Ateneo de Manila University. “Such synchronization of our academic calendar with ASEAN as well as with other countries will open more partnership programs between the Philippines Colleges and Universities and other international or foreign universities,” saad ni Olivarez. Ayon pa kay Olivarez tuwing Hunyo at Hulyo ay kadalasang maulan. “Finally, this bill shall, at the very least, minimize numerous cancellation of classes brought incessant monsoon and torrential rains which begins in the month of June.” Ilang beses ng kinansela ang klase dahil sa masamang panahon.
