SC ipinag-utos ang imbestigasyon sa mga judge na kasama sa drug list

IPINAG-UTOS ng Korte Suprema ang imbestigasyon sa apat na aktibong judge na nauna nang pinangalanan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na sangkot sa iligal na droga.
Kasabay nito, inatasan din ng Kataastaasang Hukuman si Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea na magsumite ng complaint-affidavit laban sa apat na judge sa loob ng pitong araw habang may pitong araw din ang mga hukom na sagutin ang reklamo.
Kabilang sa mga pinaiimbestigahan ay sina Judge Exequil Dagala, ng Municipal Trial Court (MTC); Dapa-Socorro, Surigao, Iloilo City Regional Trial Court Branch 30; Judge Adriano Savillo, Kalibo, Aklan; RTC Branch 7 Judge Domingo Casiple; at Baguio City RTC Branch 61 Judge Antonio Reyes.
“The Court today resolved to treat the speech of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as a complaint against the four incumbent judges…Direct Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea to submit complaint-affidavits against the four judges within seven days,” sabi ng SC sa resolusyon.
Bukod sa apat na mga hukom, pinangalanan din ni Duterte sina Cavite Judge Lorenda Mupas, Calbayog City Judge Roberto Navidad at Iloilo City Municipal Trial Court Judge Rene Gonzales.
Itinalaga ng Korte Suprema si retired Supreme Court Associate Justice Roberto A. Abad na siyang magsagawa ng imbestigasyon.
Binigyan si Abad ng 30 araw para tapusin ang imbestigasyon.
