Ano ang pagkakapareho nina Pia at Hidilyn?
PROUD na proud ang sambayanang Pilipino sa pagkapanalo ni Hidilyn Diaz sa 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Mag-uuwi ito ng silver medal sa larangan ng weightlifting.
Ilang celebrities ang nag-post ng kanilang message sa social media accounts para i-congratulate si Diaz. At isa na nga rito si 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach.
“Finally! The Philippines gets its first Olympic medal since 1996 with Hidilyn Diaz bagging the silver medal for women’s weightlifting. And she’s also the first ever woman from the Philippines to win an Olympic medal! Mabuhay ka, Hidilyn!” ang ipinost na mensahe ng beauty queen sa kanyang Instagram account na may hashtag na #ThirdTimesaCharm.
Kung matatandaan, bago nagwagi sa Miss Universe last year, tatlong beses munang sumali ang dalaga sa Binibining Pilipinas, at tulad nga ni Hidilyn, ito rin ang ikatlong beses na pagsali ng weightlifter third time to join the sa Olympics. Pareho rin daw silang taga-Mindanao.
