Wong, Deguito nagkaharap na sa muling pagdinig ng Senado

NAGKAHARAP na ang dalawang pangunahing itinuturo sa $81 milyong money laundering sa muling pagbubukas ng imbestigasyon ng Senate blue ribbon committee kahapon.
Dumalo kapwa sina dating branch manager of Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) Maia Santos-Deguito at casino junket operator na Kam Sin Wong, na mas kilala rin bilang “Kim Wong,” na nagsimula ganap alas-11:30 ng umaga.
No-show si Deguito sa unang pagdinig ng committee, kung saan unang humarap si Wong sa Senado Marso 29.

Nauna nang sinabi ni Deguito na si Wong ang nagrekomenda sa apat na depositor, na umano’y nakatanggap at nag-withdraw sa $81 milyon na ninakaw na pondo ng central bank ng Bangladesh.
Sinabi ni Deguito na kaibigan ni Wong ang presidente at chief executive officer ng RCBC na si Lorenzo Tan.
Itinanggi naman ni Wong ang alegasyon ni Deguito at sinabing tanging si Shuhua Gao lamang, ang kanyang inirekomenda, na isang ring junket agent.
Sinabi rin ni Wong na si Gao at isang Ding Zhize ang nagdala ng ninakaw na pondo sa Pilipinas.

Bukod kina Deguito at Wong, dumalo rin ang dalawang junket operator na sina–Suncity Group Junket at Goldmoon Junket.
