27 stranded na mountaineers sa Mt. Pinatubo nailigtas na

NAILIGTAS na ang 27 mountaineers na na-stranded sa tuktok ng Mt. Pinatubo, ayon sa opisina ng regional civil defense sa Central Luzon.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Nigel Lontoc, assistant director ng Office of Civil Defense sa Central Luzon na Sabado pa lamang ay nasa itaas na ng Mt. Pinatubo ang mga mountaineers.
Nagpasaklolo ang mga mountaineers kahapon ng umaga at nailigtas ng tanghali at dinala sa Porac.

“They were rescued at 1:30 pm and were transported to Porac at about 2:30 pm where a medical team is waiting for them at the municipal hall,” sabi ni Lontoc.

Pinalipad ang isang chopper ng militar para mailigtas ang mga mountaineers, bagamat nabigong matagpuan ang mga ito dahil nagsimula na silang bumaba nang dumating ang helicopter.

Sinalubong ng mga rescuer mula sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Porac, quick response team, pulis at provincial disaster office ang mga mountaineers sa paanan ng bundok.
Idinagdag ni Lontoc na nagmula ang 27 mountaineers sa grupong Climber Philippines.

Sinabi ni Lontoc na nabigo ang mga mountaineers na kumuha ng permit mula sa lokal na tourism office.
Niliwanag naman ni Lontoc na bukas ang Mt. Pinatubo sa mga turista, bagamat kailangan nilang kumuha ng clearance mula sa lokal na tourism office sa Porac o Capas.
