Poe disqualified sa 2016 presidential race – Comelec

KINUMPIRMA ng kampo ni Sen. Grace Poe na hindi tinanggap ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang kanyang certificate of candidacy (COC) matapos namang paboran ng Second Division ng Comelec ang petisyon na inihain ng isang abogado na kumukuwestiyon sa kanyang residency at citizenship.
Sinabi ni Atty. George Garcia, abogado ni Poe na nakatanggap sila ng kopya ng desisyon ng Comelec 2nd division kung saan 3-0 ang boto o pumabor lahat ang mga commissioner sa petisyon ni Atty.Lawyer Estrella Elamparo na kumukuwestiyon sa residency at citizenship ni Poe.
Idinagdag ni Garcia na nakatakdang maghain ang kampo ni Poe ng apela sa Lunes para mabaligtad ang naging desisyon ng Comelec Second Division.
Bukod kay Elamparo, tatlo pang hiwalay na petisyon ang inihain sa poll body para madiskwalipika si Poe.
