Palaboy itatago sa APEC summit?

Nanawagan si Kabataan Rep. Terry Ridon sa Department of Social Welfare and Development na huwag itago ang mga palaboy sa isang resort upang hindi makita ng mga delegado sa gagawing Asia Pacific Economic Conference Summit sa Nobyembre.
Ayon kay Ridon hindi na dapat ulitin ng DSWD ang ginawa nitong pagdadala sa Chateau Royal Batangas ng may 100 palaboy na nakuha sa Roxas Boulevard noong bumisita sa bansa si Poe Francis noong Enero.
Sinabi ng DSWD na ang ‘outing’ ay bahagi ng Modified Conditional Cash Transfer Program na programa para sa mga mahihirap na pamilya.
Sa pagdinig ng P62.6 bilyong budget ng DSWD sa plenaryo ng Kamara de Representantes, hindi makapagbigay ng katiyakan ang sponsor ng budget na si Compostella Valley Rep. Maria Carmen Zamora na hindi na ito muling gagawin ng ahensya.
“I take that to mean, then, that the DSWD will be repeating this deplorable vanishing act during the APEC Summit?” ani Ridon. “DSWD not only confirmed that the policy of hiding poor families has continued, but that they will repeat this act come November.”
Sinabi ni Zamora na magpapatuloy ang pagpapatupad ng DSWD ng MCCTP kahit isinasagawa ang APEC Summit sa bansa.
