Narito ang pagpapatuloy ng post ng TV host-actress.“She taught herself how to play the guitar, and wouldn’t you know it — she taught herself how to play the drums, and surprisingly plays them pretty well (the only thing she asked for last year was a drum set — a good one — no doubt because she adores Ashton of 5SecondsOfSummer

“Oh, no — another thing we have in common is enjoying watching scary movies and shows, though when it comes to hard-core stuff, nope — I don’t let her see really scary ones.).

One story she wrote is a too-cute love story of sorts that got her a very high score in school. Maybe she’ll let me share one or two of her writings with you.

“Basta she knows so much more! She doesn’t need to get medals (though for any parent that would be so nice!), and she’s not a nerd (I think I was!), she enjoys being her age but she knows how to get down to business when she might submit her work late again.

“Thanks, Kakie. Back to the school: We all love Beacon. It is a small community of great students, parents, and teachers who all make an effort to get to know one another, so that not only the children are non-strangers to each other and that there is a ‘family’ environment even there. And we love that it is Filipino, in spite of it being an international school.

“I am so proud of Frankie. Not only because she is smart, but also, and even ALL THE MORE SO because she is kind, sweet, thoughtful, simple, not ‘maarte’ and unlike some other kids her age, doesn’t feel entitled.

She is respectful to me and her Dad and most of all — MOST MEANINGFUL TO ME, she reminds me constantly of how proud she is of being my daughter.

“That means the world to a mom who WANTS NOTHING MORE FROM HER CHILDREN BUT LOVE, GRATITUDE, AND RESPECT. And for them to live good, honest lives, and eventually be truly happy even when I and their Dad are gone.

She is by no means perfect, but she is a very good daughter, a good kid. I feel blessed, privileged even, that she is mine. “Seriously, I have lots of fears. But something tells me she’s going to stick by me even when I’m old and useless to all of them.

She tells me all the time that she’s going to live with me even after she’s married (good luck with that! Hahaha!). I tell her to just pray that her husband agrees to live at least in the same village, or nearby!

“My Frankie will be there for me. She will take care of me, even when I become too old and shy to beg her to. I know God has planted a seed in her that will only grow her into being the best kind of person with the best-quality heart.

After all, these are what will truly matter in the end.  “Thank you again to you all. And thank you, Lord God, for giving me my Frankie. She has been worth far more than all the injections and I.V.s and nervousness I had to endure during all those months of taking care of her in my tummy, doing my best not to lose her.

I praise You, Lord, for you are always good and faithful! And I am, as you know, forever grateful. “To Frankie: I love you more than words can ever say…and what I used to say to you all the time when you were little: ‘More than the stars in the sky and all the fish in the sea!’

Thank you. Especially for loving me the way you do.”
