Pelikula nina Vice, Coco, Vic, Ser Chief laglag sa 2016 MMFF

LAGLAG ang mga pelikula nina Vic Sotto, Vice Ganda at Coco Martin sa Magic 8 ng 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival. Hindi nakapasok sa official entries ang “Enteng Kabisote 10” ni Bossing at “Super Parental Guardians” nina Vice at Coco.

Hindi rin nakapasok ang pelikula ng Regal Entertainment na “Mano Po 7” nina Richard Yap at Jean Garcia.

Narito ang walong masuswerteng pelikula na napili para sa taunang MMFF na magsisimula na sa Dec. 25 hanggang Jan. 7, 2017.

“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 2: Forever Is Not Enough” na pinagbibidahan ni Eugene Domingo at Jericho Rosales kasama sina Joel Torre, Agot Isidro, Cai Cortez, Kean Cipriano at Khalil Ramos. Ito ay sa direksiyon ni Marlon Rivera.

“Die Beautiful” nina Paolo Ballesteros, Luis Alandy, Gladys Reyes, Albie Casino, Lou Veloso, Inah De Belen, IC Mendoza, sa direksyon ni Jun Robles Lana.

“Kabisera” ni Superstar Nora Aunor, with Ricky Davao, Perla Bautista, and Ces Quesada. JC de Vera, Jason Abalos, Victor Neri, RJ Agustin, Ronwaldo Martin at Kiko Matos written by Real Florido, and co-directed the movie with Arturo “Boy” San Agustin.

“Oro” starring Joem Bascon and directed by Alvin Yapan.

“Saving Sally” starring Rhian Ramos, Enzo Marcos at TJ Trinidad, directed by Avid Liongoren.

“Seklusyon” na pagbibidahana nina Dominic Roque, Ronnie Alonte, John Vic de Guzman, JR Versales, Neil Ryan Sese, Lou Veloso at Rhed Bustamante, directed by Erik Matti.

“Sunday Beauty Queen”, isang documentary-drama na isinulat at idinirek ni Babyruth Villarama-Gutierrez.

“Vince, Kath & James” nina Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia at Ronnie Alonte with Ian Veneracion, Bea Alonzo, Iza Calzado, Enchong Dee and JK Labajo.

Narito naman ang mga napiling pelikula para sa Short Films category: “Birds”, “EJK”, “Manila Scream”, Mga Bitoon Sa Siyudad”, “Mitatung”, “Momo”, “Passage of Life” at “Sitsiritsit”.

Halos lahat ng dumalo sa MMFF announcement ay na-shock dahil hindi nga nakapasok ang ilan sa mga mainstrream movies.

Paliwanag ng screening committee, mas concerned daw sila sa quality at representation ng mga pelikula sa bawat genre. Hindi nila masyadong tiningnan ang market value at mga artistang kasali sa pelikula.

Dapat daw simula ngayong 2016 ay puro quality films ang mapanood ng mga Pinoy, lalo na ng mga kabataan.

At para naman daw sa mga commercial films na hindi napili, may 365 days naman daw ang mga ito para ipalabas sa mga sinehan.

Two weeks lang naman daw ang hinihingi ng MMFF sa mga producers para sa pagpapalabas ng mga de-kalidad na pelikula.
