19 na pulis sa pagkamatay ni Espinosa Sr. natukoy na

TINUKOY na ni Interior Secretary Ismael “Mike” Sueno ang 19 na operatiba na sangkot sa isinagawang raid na nagresulta sa pagkamatay ni Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. sa loob ng kulungan sa Leyte.
Sinabi ni Sueno na iniimbestigahan na ang mga sangkot na pulis ng Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS).
Idinagdag ni Sueno na sa 19 na pulis, 13 ay mula sa Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-Region 8) at anim ay mula Regional Maritime Unit ng Region 8.

“We welcome the investigations being conducted by other agencies and bodies because more than anyone else, we want to get to the bottom of this incident so we can carry out the necessary actions,” dagdag ni Sueno.
Kabilang sa 13 miyembro ng CIDG-Region 8 na iniimbestigahan ay sina Supt. Santi Noel Matira, Designated Supervisor; Chief Insp. Leo Laraga, Team Leader; Senior Insp. Deogracias Diaz III, Assistant Team Leader; Senior Insp. Fritz Blanco, Assistant Team Leader; SPO4 Juanito Duarte; SPO4 Melvin Cayobit; SPO2 Benjamin Dacallos; SPO2 Alphinor Serrano Jr.; PO3 Jhonny Ibanez; PO3 Norman Abellanosa; PO1 Bernard Orpilla; PO1 Lloyd Ortiguesa at PO1 Jerlan Cabiyaan.
Samantala, kabilang sa anim na iniimbestigahan na miyembro ng regional maritime unit ay sina: Chief Insp. Calixto Canillas, Team Leader; Senior Insp. Lucrecito Candilosas; Assistant Team Leader; SPO2 Antonio Docil; SPO1 Mark Christian Cadilo; PO2 Jhon Ruel Ducolan; at PO2 Jaime Bacsal.
Namatay si Espinosa kasama ang isa pang preso na si Raul Yap sa Baybay sub-provincial jail sa Leyte.
