LEA Salonga is not yet done with her “case to cases basis” explanation.
On her Twitter account, talagang inisa-isa ni Lea ang mga dahilan niya for not supporting non-singers.
“Wide awake, so I’ll tweet some more. @rhapsalazar had another point, his frustration at non-singers releasing albums (minsan, platinum).
“In an ideal world, albums would only be released by actual living and breathing singers. Period. But we don’t live in an ideal world.
“Should I begrudge a non-singer for releasing an album? I say no. But I sure as hell won’t buy it, promote it, recommend it, or listen to it.”
Sunud-sunod na tweet niya. Take note, hindi niya ipo-promote, hindi niya ire-recommend or even pakikinggan man lang ang album ng isang hindi naman singer.
Aray ko! This should be hurting to the non-singers, ha. Anyway, to continue her aria, she said, “So perhaps the change to the marketplace needs to come from the consumers, to stop the demand for non-singers’ albums. #LawOfSupplyAndDemand.”
But Lea, mas marami ang demand for non-singers dahil sikat sila, ‘no. You cannot change the buying habits of the idiot fans.
“Non-singers lip syncing on TV isn’t anything new, at all. But back then, no albums. They spared us by not selling their non-singing,” dagdag pa ng international singer.
Oo nga naman, may point. Lastly, she asked, “Question for the singers: Do you think AUTOTUNE etc has destroyed the recording industry by masking who actually has talent and who doesn’t?”
Make sense to us. Anyway, the issue of lip-sync is nothing new. Ang daming artista ang nagli-lip sync lang because they thought that they can get away with it.
Ang problema kasi, since sikat sila, palagi silang pinagbibigyan. The TV shows are at the mercy of these sikat na non-singers.
Paano kasi, ang iba diyan lasing siguro the night before kaya hindi makakanta nang live. Paano ka nga naman kakanta nang live kung may hangover ka?
And the manager, tolerant and kunsintidor that he is, ii-insist na mag-lip sync na lang ang kanyang alaga. The issue really is getting bigger as many celebrities have spoken about it.
Actually, ang mga nagagalit lang naman ay ‘yung mga non-singers talaga, ‘yung mga singer-singeran na hindi naman worthy magkaroon ng album.
Or ‘yung mga celebrities na feeling singer na just because they already released an album. ‘Yung mga may feeling of entitlement na kahit hindi naman dapat.
