Target ng PH: 60 golds

KUNG ang mga lider ng kasaling national sports association (NSA) ang tatanungin, kumbinsido sila na mahihigitan ng Pilipinas ang 29 gintong medalya na nakuha ng bansa sa Myanmar Southeast Asian Games noong 2013 sa lalahukang Singapore Games sa susunod na buwan.

Sa pagdalo ni Chief of Mission Julian Camacho sa PSA Forum sa Shakey’s Malate kahapon ay ibinulalas niya na ang estimate ng mga kasaling NSAs ay nasa 60 gintong medalya.

Halos doble ito sa napanalunan ng pambansang delegasyon sa Myanmar at higit sa 41 ginto na nakuha ng bansa noong 2007 SEA Games sa Thailand.

Ang output sa Thailand ang pinakamataas na naabot ng bansa matapos kilalanin bilang overall champion noong 2005. “The commitment of the NSAs is more or less 60 gold medals.

But we reduced the number to be moderate and we are looking at 50 to 55 gold medals in Singapore,” wika ni Camacho.Matibay ang kanyang paniniwala na sapat ito para makabangon ang bansa mula sa pinakamasamang ikapitong puwesto sa Myanmar upang umakyat sa ikalimang puwesto sa Singapore.
