HINDI na interesado si Floyd Mayweather Jr. na makaharap sa isang rematch si Manny Pacquiao dahil pikon at duwag umano ang Pinoy boxing superstar.
Ito ang sinabi ni Mayweather sa isang recorded interview ng Showtime noong Martes ng gabi na ieere ng nasabing network ngayong Sabado ng gabi matapos ang replay ng unified welterweight title fight nina Pacquiao at Mayweather kung saan nagwagi ang huli sa pamamagitan ng unanimous decision para manatiling walang talo.
Nang tanungin kung sa tingin niya ay naapektuhan si Pacquiao ng kanyang injury sa kanang balikat, sinabi ni Mayweather kay American sportscaster Jim Gray ng Showtime na, “Absolutely not.”
“Excuses, excuses, excuses,” sabi pa nito.
“He was fast,” dagdag ni Mayweather. “His left hand was fast. His right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong.”
Gamit ang masamang salita para may diin, sinabi ni Mayweather na “I’m not going to buy into” it, “and I don’t want the public to buy into” it.
“He lost,” sabi pa ni Mayweather. “He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”
Inamin naman ni Mayweather na nag-text siya kay Stephen A. Smith ng ESPN para sabihin na bukas siya sa isang rematch kay Pacquiao.
“Yeah, but I change my mind,” dagdag ni Mayweather. “At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward. . If you lost, accept the loss and say, ‘Mayweather, you were the better fighter.”’
