INIHAYAG ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na isa pang overseas Filipino worker (OFW) sa Saudi Arabia ang nagpositibo sa nakakamatay na Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-Corona Virus (MERS-CoV).
Sinabi ng DFA na naka-confine ang 41-taong-gulang na X-ray technician sa intensive care unit ng isang ospital sa Riyadh matapos mahawa ng MERS-CoV.
Idinagdag ni DFA spokesman Charles Jose na direktang nakasalamuha ng OFW ang mga pasyenteng may MERS-CoV.
Noong Marso 6, inihayag ng DFA na tatlong OFW na nagtatrabaho bilang health care personnel sa iba’t-ibang ospital ng Saudi Arabia ang nahawa sa nakakamatay na vuris.

Ang apat na OFWs ay kabilang sa 15 mga bagong kaso ng MERS-CoV batay sa ulat ng Ministry of Health ng Saudi Arabia.
