Jake na-bad trip nang matalo ni John sa pagka-best actor
Jake Cuenca was badly hurt when he failed to win the Best Supporting Actor plum in the recently-concluded PMPC Star Awards for TV. Tinalo kasi siya ni John Estrada.
But all is not lost for Jake who won best actor for “Mulat/Awaken” sa Inertnational Film Festival Manhattan 2014. Parang sampal niya iyon sa mga hindi bumoto sa kanya.
Nag-aral pa sa US si Jake para mas mapahusay niya ang kanyang pagganap. “Honestly, parang it was going back to basics. Isang month lang kasi siya. First day, basic, the next day…third day masters.
More than anything, ‘yung na-treasure ko is ‘yung feeling na kinakabahan ka. Kailangan naming aralin ‘yung methods ng theater.”Doon ako naengganyo.
Nabuhayan ako as an artist because it was parang it was amazing how they respect the theater. ‘Yung kaba na naramdaman ko to act in front of an audience, to prepare for it, uma-act kami sa park, it was very inspirational,” say ni Jake sa presscon ng “Mulat/Awaken” where he plays the second boyfriend of lead actress Loren Burgos.
