SIDELIGHTS and highlights sa 5th Golden Screen TV Awards starting with Carla Abellana, winner ng Outstanding Performance by An Actress in A Drama Series for My Husband’s Lover, hindi niya napasalamatan si Geoff Eigenmann, boyfriend niya, sa kaniyang award and people started asking kung sila pa ba talaga or not.
Ang sagot ni Carla, just because hindi niya napasalamatan si Geoff doesn’t mean split na sila. Still on Carla, kinausap naman namin ang handler niyang si Benj Gabitan for her management agency ni Arnold Vegafria and though may pinagdadaanan daw talaga ngayon sina Carla and Geoff, they will give the couple three days para maayos ito and sure na um-attend ito sa whatever birthday celebration ni Geoff yesterday.
Dahil hindi kilala sa pagkakaroon ng tie ang Golden Screen whether for the movie or for TV, surprise tie ang pagkakapanalo sa Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Program nina Angel Aquino of Apoy Sa Dagat for ABS and Glydel Mercado of My Husband’s Lover for GMA. Glydel was there to accept her award but it’s Angel’s manager Ricky Gallardo who accepted the other award as nasa out of town taping ito.
Mayor Herbert Bautista was given the Helen Vela Lifetime Achievement Award for Comedy accepted by sister Harlene and the brothers Erwin, Raffy and Ben Tulfo for News Broadcast.
Si Kuya German Moreno is Gawad Dolphy Lifetime Achievement Award Ulirang Alagad ng Sining; may Special Citation as Youngest TV Host si Ryzza Mae Dizon of The Ryzza Mae Show at Eat Bulaga.
