DISAPPOINTED ang supporters ni Ms Vilma Santos na nasa Amerika dahil hindi nila mapapanood ang pelikulang “Uninvited” na kasama sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 sa gaganaping Manila International Film Festival 2025 simula sa Marso 4 hanggang 7 sa TCL Chinese 6 Hollywood Blvd.
Ang mga nasabing supporters ay nakabili na ng MIFF tickets, airfare dahil manggagaling sila sa iba’t ibang state sa US at accommodation sa hotels na tutuluyan.
Ayon sa post ni PR at Events manager/ Writer/Editor/Publisher at www.HollywoodFLIP.com na si Oliver Carnay na naka-base sa Los Angeles ay tinanggal daw ng MIFF sa line-up ang pelikulang Uninvited.
Nabanggit muna ni Oliver na paparangalan ang Star for All Seasons ng Lifetime Achievement Awards kasama sina Ms Boots Anson Roa – Rodrigo, Ricky Lee, at ang mga namayapang sina Mother Lily Monteverde at Ms Gloria Romero ay makatatanggap ng posthumous Tribute.

“The Star for All Seasons -Ms. Vilma Santos-Recto’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and Manila International Film Fest (MIFF) entry “When I Met You In Tokyo” won the Best Actress Award for both film festivals. Unfortunately, her latest MMFF movie entry “UNINVITED” was recently pulled out from the MIFF list.
“I personally received text messages from U.S. fans of “Ate Vi” that they are very disappointed to read on MIFF web site that the film won’t be showing anymore as they have already bought tickets, including airfare tickets, and accommodation in L.A.. Since January, camps from Santos-Recto already said it is impossible for her to attend MIFF. Not only she already has a commitment in Manila on March 6, but obviously the midterm election campaign is still ongoing.”
Samantala, bukod sa Uninvited ay tinanggal din sa line-up ang pelikulang Isang HImala at ang inilagay na kapalit sa dalawang pelikula ay ang Everything About My Wife nina Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo at Sam Milby na ipalalabas naman dito sa Manila ng Pebrero 26 at ang Magikland 2020.
