MAHIGIT isang taon matapos koronahan si Tarah Valencia, siya ay makatakdang lumaban sa Miss Supranational 2025 na gaganapin sa Poland sa darating na Hunyo.
Si Tarah ay kinatawan ng “City of Pines” o Baguio City sa Miss Universe Philippines noong Mayo ng nakaraang taon.
Sa nasabing kompetisyon, itinanghal siyang third runner-up at napili bilang kinatawan ng bansa para sa nasabing international pageant.
Bukod sa mas maagang paghahanda kumpara sa iba niyang mga makakalaban, may dagdag na kalamangan si Tarah dahil nagkaroon siya ng pagkakataong makasama ang reigning Miss Supranational na si Harashta Haifa Zahra noong bumisita ito sa Pilipinas last year.

“She’s really personable, relatable, and she is someone who has a really good heart when it comes to her cause. And of course, with or without camera she is really what we call Miss Supranational,” sey ng ating pambato sa naging interview with INQUIRER.
Pagpupuri naman ni Harashta kay Tarah, “You are already a queen here, and you are already a winner in the Philippines, you are the winner in your country. Just believe in yourself, do what you always do. Just be authentic.”
Mensahe pa niya, “When there’s a competition there, just remember this is not a competition. This is a gathering together with your new ‘sisters’ you met there. And just enjoy until the grand final night, and just be confident. Good luck for your journey.”
Ayon kay Pinay beauty queen, mas lalo siyang na-excite dahil nabigyan siya ng basbas mula mismo sa reigning queen na si Zahra.
“We are really into the preparations already, and we’re really looking forward to meet with each other in Poland in the upcoming Miss Supranational, and most especially take to heart the advice that Tata (Zahra’s nickname) has given me,” pagbabahagi ni Tarah.
Target ni Valencia na masungkit ang ikalawang korona ng Pilipinas sa Miss Supranational, 12 years matapos ang tagumpay ni Mutya Johanna Datul bilang kauna-unahang Pinay na nanalo sa pageant noong 2013.
Matatandaang si Pauline Amelinckx ay muntik nang makuha ang titulo noong 2023 nang magtapos bilang first runner-up kay Andrea Aguilera ng Ecuador.
