Pops Fernandez at Martin Nievera kasama ang kanilang pong si Baby Finn
MALAKING factor ang pagkakaroon ng apo ng ex-couple na sina Martin Nievera at Pops Fernandez sa kanilang closeness ngayon bilang magkaibigan.
Aminado ang dating mag-asawa na marami nang nagbago sa kanilang respective lives lalo pa nga’t lolo at lola na sila sa kanilang unang apo na si Baby Finn, ang anak ng panganay nilang si Robin Nievera.
Mas napapanatili pa raw nila ngayon ang kanilang closeness bilang mga magulang kina Robin at Ram.
“Maybe, because we’re equally excited to be with our very first grandchild. Kumbaga sa…ang cute-cute kasi niya, e! He’s so bait, alam mo yun? He’s such a happy baby na, yeah!” sabi ni Pops sa presscon ng Valentine concert nila ni Martin na “Always & Forever.”

Patuloy pa ng Original Concert Queen, “I would have never planned a trip to another state with Martin for Christmas. Siyempre, we have our own lives, ‘no?
“But somehow, na we’re doing that because of Finn, you know, because of our two boys.
“We always want something with our boys, just for the concept of being a family, ‘no? Ngayon, parang mas nag-e-effort kami because of him. We don’t wanna miss out,” dagdag pa ng aktres at singer.
“And he’s very musical, ha! It happens so many times. Robin would bring him during our rehearsals in the States, and he really listens. He listens so much that he falls asleep every time na nagre-rehearse kami.
“So, I guess, the music and the loudness don’t really bother him. Maybe it’s a sign that he will also be interested in music, ‘no?” sabi pa ni Pops.
Para kay Pops, core memory daw nila ni Martin ang pag-attend sa first birthday ng first apo nilang si Finn sa Amerika.
Ilang days din silang nag-stay sa Chicago noong December, 2024 para doon mag-spend ng holidays kasama ang family ng partner ni Robin na si Mian Acoba.
Chika ni Pops, “We tried to make it a point to spend every minute with him, ‘no? So, paggising tinatawagan na namin si Robin, nakaplano na ‘yon, kakain na kami somewhere.
“And the idea is really just to be with our family, with Robin, of course, Mian and with Finn. Lalo na ‘ko, parang I don’t wanna miss out ‘coz I know that we’re only gonna be there for four or five days tapos ilang buwan na naman kami hindi magkikita.
“So, binaon ko na lahat ng moments with both of them and it turned out to be a fun trip because we got to meet Mian’s family also. And she has a huge family.
“So ‘yung birthday party ni Finn, family lang niya pala saka kami lang, ang laki-laki na, ang dami-dami na.
“It’s so nice, you know, I mean, kami-kami lang. But somehow, we all enjoyed, the children enjoyed. Finn was kinda clueless, he didn’t know what was happening. But I think in his own little way, he also had fun because pagod na pagod siya nu’n pero hindi talaga siya nagreklamo.
“Tinapos niya ‘yung buong party niya. He’s really a very, very good baby,” ang pagbabahagi pa ni “Lolli Pops”.
