FOR the first time, magkakaroon ng solo concert ang acclaimed singer-songwriter na si Johnoy Danao!
Ito ay upang ipagdiwang ang ika-25th anniversary niya sa local music scene.
Ang inaabangang solo show ay tinawag na “Liwayway at Dapithapon” na gaganapin sa March 14 at 15 sa Metropolitan Theater (MET) sa Manila.
Asahan ang bagong renditions ng kanyang kanta, pati na rin ang ilang never-before-heard tracks.
Maliban sa singer, ang nag-produce ng concert ay ang minsan studio kung saan super excited na ang head nito na si Jason Conanan.

“Johnoy Danao has undergone so many phases in music, and we’re here to highlight the best of these moments,” paliwanag niya.
Chika pa niya, “It started with a simple idea—an email asking if the MET, now newly renovated, could host his long- overdue solo concert. Now, it’s becoming a reality, and we’re thrilled to present it in a venue that truly honors his work and legacy.”
Ibinunyag din ni Jason na tampok sa pagtatanghal ang 15-piece orchestra na masterfully arranged by Ria Villena-Osorio.
“We want to offer the audience something different,” sey ng minsan studio head.
Aniya pa, “Johnoy who usually plays as a solo act, will be supported by a full band, and some of his songs will be reimagined in a lush, orchestral setting that will enrich the experience and bring new dimension to his music. The minsan team is also helping with the creative direction of the show, so it’s a collaboration that we’re really looking forward to.”
Para naman kay Johnoy, ang kanyang show ay hindi lang para mag-celebrate, kundi para na rin ibandera ang mga susunod na aabangan sa kanya.
“Expect an experience that speaks to the soul,” sambit niya sa isang pahayag.
Kwento pa ng singer, “We’ll cradle the tired hearts, minds, and bodies of our audience with the music I’ve written over the past 25 years: some old songs with new twists and fresh tracks that I’m excited to share with everyone for the first time. We also have special guests joining us in this special event.”
