“So the PPO is the sole beneficiary of this concert in terms of our programs for them,” sey ng vice president ng leading orchestra na si Nestor Jardin sa press conference na ginanap sa Rustan’s Makati.

Paliwanag niya, “One is the retirement benefits –the PPOSI provides gratuity to retiring Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra members. We also purchase musical instruments for the PPO depending on their needs. We also provide PPO members uniforms, attires for the concerts, and another important program we’ll do is we provide scholarships to PPO members who want to pursue further training in their respective fields, both here and abroad, and we have funded many members.”

“This concert will be a celebration of some of the beloved musical masterpieces with the PPO conducted by Master Gerard Salonga leading us to a selection of classical and cinematic works –from the elegance of waltzes to the power of opera, from Filipino classics to iconic film scores. This concert promises to be an unforgettable journey through music,” pagbubunyag nu Anton Huang, ang chairman ng PPOSI.

Ang sagot ng music director na si Alex Cortez, “Part of the consideration really for the selection is to be able to transport the audience to a kind of a world which is magical. That’s probably the effect the music will have for the audience.”

“But also, it’s kind of an iconic piece that never seems to die, and also the consideration it’s been classical popular and in the modern times it’s still existing. It’s very, very difficult, it’s not easy,” aniya pa.
