“Dear President Bongbong Marcos, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the current state of your administration, specifically addressing the apparent discrepancy in the enforcement of laws and regulations affecting ordinary citizens versus public figures— knowing that your SONA is fast approaching.
“Case in Point: BINI’s Jabbawockeez Outfit at the Airport. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 311 (2004), the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) was established to implement security measures within the transportation sector, including airports. According to OTS Administrative Order No. 01, Series of 2019, there are clear standard operating procedures for security screening at airports that emphasize the necessity for identity verification and the prevention of prohibited items on board. Attire or accessories that significantly obscure the face are subject to prohibition or additional scrutiny to ensure proper identification,” mahabang litanya ni Tio.
“Is this not a violation of the aforementioned orders and laws? I urge your administration to address these inconsistencies and ensure that all individuals, regardless of their public status, are equally subject to the laws and regulations designed to protect our nation’s security.”
“You asked for good arguments, right? Hindi ‘yong bardagulan lang. Now give me good rebuttals,” sey pa ni Tio.
