MAY pahabol na mensahe si Vice President Sara Duterte bago matapos ang pagdiriwang ng Pride Month ngayong buwan ng Hunyo.
Sa inilabas niyang official statement sa pamamagitan ng Facebook, hinihimok niya ang publiko na tiyaking maririnig at tatanggapin ang bawat Pilipino, lalo na ang mga kabataan.
Ayon sa bise presidente, dapat magsilbing paalala ang taunang okasyon na mas mangibabaw ang pagmamahal kaysa sa poot.
“Pride Month serves as a reminder of the power of love over hate, discrimination, and indifference toward a sector that had historically been subjected to shame, persecution, and inequitable opportunities in life,” saad sa pahayag.
Sey rin niya, “Over the past many years, we have witnessed how we have become a nation that promotes inclusivity, advances the welfare of disadvantaged sectors, and champions the cause for equality.”

“Magtulungan tayo upang tiyakin na ang bawat Pilipino, lalo na ang ating mga kabataan, ay ligtas, tunay na naririnig, at buong pusong kinikilala,” dagdag ni Vice President Sara.
Patuloy niya, “This is a victory for all — not only for those who dreamed of a world without othering — a world where everyone is valued, accepted, and empowered, but also for all of us who toppled down the wall that isolated the LGBT sector and deprived them of recognition, respect, acceptance, and love.”
Base sa mga ulat, libo-libong mga indibidwal ang dumalo sa naganap na festival sa Quezon Memorial Circle, kung saan tampok ang ilang food at art market.
Ayon sa Quezon City government, ang event ay in partnership kasama ang advocacy group na Pride PH.
Kung maaalala noong 2022 sa kasagsagan ng campaign season, nabanggit ni Duterte na parte raw siya ng LGBTQIA+ community.
Pagbubunyag niya noon, ginugupitan niya ang kanyang buhok kapag gusto niya maging lalaki.
Pero nilinaw niya na hindi siya attracted sa mga babae, naaakit lamang daw siya sa mga trabahong panlalaki.
