There is a different reason why “Sapi” is rated R-13. Opening nationwide since yesterday ang “Sapi” ni Brillante Mendoza for his Centerstage and Solar Films.
Napakalaki ng premiere nito last Tuesday night sa SM Megamall dahil impressive ang guest list. Not just the stars of the movie Dennis Trillo, Meryll Soriano and Baron Geisler, dumating sina Tom Rodriguez, Maria Isabel Lopez, Kiko Matos, Lance Raymundo and the Superstar Nora Aunor among others at fully supported din ito ng co-Directors’ Guild of the Philippines ni Brillante.
Now if we just have to add, napakataas na talaga ng CI ni Brillante even among the foreign crowd dahil napakaraming foreigners na nandoon and even representing their embassies here.
Right after the premiere night, sa Cabalen nagpuntahan ang mga bisita ng Cannes Film Festival director for a late dinner and most stayed with the exemption of Dennis who had an early appointment naman Wednesday.
Brillante’s first foray in the horror genre got an R-13 rating from the MTRCB but not because of what you thought it would be.
Then there are a lot of nudity rin and daring scenes in a movie that is supposed to be a horror.
Dennis had two “BJ” scenes with two different women extra. Kung ilang beses ding nag-shower si Dennis and his towel always dangle precariously low just above his groin pati nga si Ruby Ruiz, may bath scene.
