HINDI napigilang maiyak ng seasoned actor na si Piolo Pascual matapos siyang bigyan ng parangal sa 36th Aliw Awards.
Tinanghal si Piolo bilang “Best Lead Actor in Musical” para sa kanyang role sa musical show na “Ibarra.”
Nakunan pa nga sa camera ang pagiging emosyonal ng aktor habang ini-interview ng ABS-CBN entertainment reporter na si Ganiel Krishnan.
“Masaya lang,” paliwanag ni Piolo kung bakit siya biglang naiyak.
Dagdag pa niya, “‘Di ko alam eh, forever ko iki-keep ‘yung ganitong recognition because, you know, I’m an actor.”
“First and foremost, to be doing something like this, something out of the box, something out of my comfort zone, parang na-push ‘yung sarili ko para ma-challenge ko ‘yung sarili ko,” aniya.

Kwento pa niya, “Hindi natin liga ang teatro, pero I started out in theater. To be named entertainer of the year, it just only means na your hardwork has paid off.”
“Wala ho akong ipagyayabang, pero forever akong magiging humble sa lahat ng natatamasa natin and I’m just really thankful to the Lord for taking us this far,” sey pa niya.

Para sa mga hindi masyadong aware, si Piolo ang bumida bilang si Crisostomo Ibarra sa nasabing musical show na base sa classic novel ni Jose Rizal na “Noli Me Tangere.”
Ang musical play ay nagkaroon ng sampung shows noong Hunyo.
Nabanggit din ni Piolo sa panayam na very open siya kung mabibigyan pa ulit siya ng theater play projects.
“If there is a chance, if there is a good story such as ‘Kanser’ which turned into ‘Ibarra,’ it will always be a privilege to do something that would push forward to theater because it’s thriving right now,” sambit ng Kapamilya star.
Ibinunyag pa ni Piolo na kasalukuyan na niyang tinatrabaho ang ilang mga proyekto niya for next year.
“I’m doing a project with ABS-CBN. I’m doing a TV series, I’m doing two more movies,” saad niya.
