“After two years of coming out of rehab, I want to talk about it na. In 2018, I was such in a dark point in my life. Not only friends, not only family.
“Even starting petty quarrels with random people. There were people who were mad at me,” sabi ni Diego.

“It had to do with my upbringing. The people around me. I guess I could say my group of friends noong time na ‘yun, which today, some of them are still my friends. But it was really me. I was the problem at that point of my life,” paliwanag ni Diego.
‘It’s me. Hi, I’m the problem. It’s me’.”
“Yes, that’s true. I was self destructive noong time na ‘yun and I wasn’t aware. So, noong naging aware ako, I fixed myself,” pahayag pa ng aktor.
Sabi ni Diego, ayaw niyang maranasan ng kanyang anak ang lumaki nang walang tatay, “I’m trying to be the most supportive dad I can be for the mom and my baby.”
“That’s (when) they really build the character,” ani Diego sabay inalala ang unang pagtatagpo nila ng amang si Cesar nooong 13 years old na siya.

“I was a different person. Kaya lagi kami nagko-collide noon. It took me to reach 28… to finally understand my dad as a human, as a parent,” sabi ng aktor.
“There’s sometimes like a question mark how I should do things, my character, what I really want. I guess you picked it up from the dad.
I’ve climbed out of that pit and I’m so happy.”
