EKIS na ang bandang Silent Sanctuary sa mga magpapasaya sa stage ng LoveLaban Sa QC, isang pride festival para sa mga kapatid nating parte ng LGBTQIA+ community.
Base sa inilabas na pahayag ng PridePH, ang national coalition of LGBTQIA+ organizations, hindi raw welcome ang mga homophobicartists na mag-perform sa kanilang stage.
“WE ARE DROPPING SILENT SANCTUARY from our roster of performers at #LoveLabanSaQC for today’s program due to homophobic actions done to one of our own reported earlier this morning,” panimula ng Pride PH.
Ayon sa organisasyon, nais nilang tiyakin na mananatiling safe space para sa komunidad ang naturang event at hindi nila basta isasantabi ang ganito mga klaseng isyu.
At ang mga banda o artists gaya ng Silent Sanctuary na humahadlang para sa isang ligtas na kapaligiran para sa LGBTQIA++ members ay walang lugar sa kanilang event.
“Pride PH would like to assure our queer siblings in the LGBTQIA++ community that we remain a safe space for all and hence will not take this nor other similar cases lightly.

“As a collective, we stand firm on our values and stay true to our principles as long as we are here. Pride PH strongly condemns and strongly stands against any form of discrimination, homophobia, and harassment,” ayon pa sa statement.
Humihingi naman ng tawad ang organisasyon sa madlang pipol sa pagsama sa Silent Sanctuary sa mga magpe-perform para sa LoveLaban Sa QC at nangakong mas pagbubutihin pa ang pagpili sa susunod.
“We are taking full accountability and apologize for initially including them in the roster of performers. We are committed to do better and learn from this oversight.
“HOMOPHOBES ARE NEVER WELCOME ON OUR STAGE. THIS IS OUR SAFE SPACE. THIS IS OUR PRIDE.
Marami naman sa mga netizens ang masaya sa pagkakaalis ng Silent Sanctuary sa listahan.
“Daserv! Enabler din yang mga yan,” saad ng isang netizen.
Comment naman ng isa, “apologist na nga, homophobic pa. Wala na talaga tong silent sanctuary laos na. mga kadiring nilalang.”
“Deserve. Ekis actually kapag enabler!”
Ngayong araw, June 24, kasalukuyang nagaganap ang Pride PH Festival 2023 sa Quezon City Memorial Circle.
