Liza Dino, Ice Seguerra, Tirso Cruzz III at Bongbong Marcos

Ganyan inilarawan ng OPM icon na si Ice Seguerra ang kanyang asawang si Liza Dino sa pag-alis nito bilang chairperson ng Film Development Council of the Philippines o FDCP.
Papalitan ng veteran actor na si Tirso Cruz III si Liza sa pwesto nito sa nasabing ahensiya na siyang nangangalaga sa kapakanan ng buong entertainment industry.
Si Tirso ang itinalaga ng bagong-upong Pangulo ng Pilipinas na si Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. sa nasabing posisyon na kamakailan lamang ay nanumpa na sa Malacañang.
Sa Facebook account ni Ice, inamin niyang may gulat factor din silang naramdaman ni Liza sa naging desisyon ng bagong Presidente dahil nga ilang araw pa lang ang lumipas nang i-extend ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang termino ng kanyang asawa.
“No matter how much you plan or prepare for the future, may mga pwedeng mangyari that will totally change the course of your life.
“We’re still processing things because we just found out through social media about Liza being replaced as FDCP Chair. Though her term is still good for another 3 years, we respect the decision of the President,” ang simulang pagbabahagi ni Ice sa kanyang tunay na saloobin.
Hugot pa niya, “As someone who has been in the sidelines as my wife’s cheerleader, shock absorber, assistant, and over-all supporter, I have witnessed many ups and downs during her term as Chairperson.”
Ayon pa sa singer-actor, “Pumasok si Liza sa trabaho na ‘to na halos walang naniniwala sa kakayanan niyang mamuno.
“‘Sino ba siya at anong magagawa niya? Mas marami namang karapatdapat, bakit siya yung nilagay diyan?’
“Maraming skeptical sa simula pero kahit ganon, my wife used it to fan her passion to serve. Inalam niya lahat ng pwedeng malaman sa industriya natin, from cultivating an idea and developing it into a story, archiving, and everything in between.
“She went to different regions to empower our filmmakers dahil ang kwento ng Pilipinas ay hindi dapat manggaling lang sa Metro Manila.
“She democratized access to development programs, grants, financial support para masiguradong hindi lamang iilan ang makikinabang.
“Partnered with different international festivals to make sure we always have a platform to showcase the works of our amazing filmmakers.
“Ayuda sa pandemya, vaccinations para sa industriya…
“Pero para sa akin, ang pinakaimportanteng legacy na iiwanan niya ay ang pagsulong ng karapatan at proteksiyon ng audiovisual workers,” lahad ni Ice.
“Marami nang nagawa but marami pang kailangan gawin.
“Though Liza’s term has come to an end, I have full trust in the capacity of the FDCP staff to continue all the programs that my wife has envisioned for all of us.
“Tito Pip, congratulations on your appointment! You will soon be working with the most dedicated, passionate, and hardworking people in government. They will help you achieve your goals and dreams for the film industry. Please take good care of them,” sabi pa ni Ice sa pagpasok ni Tirso sa FDCP.
Sa huli nagpasalamat ang OPM icon sa lahat ng nakasama, nakatrabaho at sumuporta kay Liza bilang chairperson ng FDCP.
