WALANG kaarte-arte ang bagong Vivamax bombshell na si Katrina Dovey pagdating sa paghuhubad at pakikipagchurvahan sa harap ng mga camera.
In fairness, kahit wala pa siyang masyadong alam sa sistema ng showbiz, handa raw niyang gawin ang lahat para sa kanyang pangarap — ang makilala at sumikat bilang aktres.
Unang napanood ang sexy star sa pelikulang “Adarna Gang” na idinirek ng award-winning filmmaker na si Jon Red at marami nga ang nakapanood sa movie na nagsabing promising ang dalaga at mukhang may future nga sa showbiz.
Si Katrina ay na-discover ng sex actress ding si Lara Morena at ngayon nga ay isa na siya sa mga bidang aktres sa eigth-part sex-drama series na “High on Sex” under the direction of GB Sampedro from Viva Films.
“I had just moved back to the country from the UK. I had dinner with my best friend and Tita Lara was there. All it took was her convincing for me to say yes,” ani Katrina.
Para sa dalaga, walang masama at hindi kasalanan ang ginagawa nilang paglalantad ng hubad na katawan sa pelikula. I don’t understand why others put malice when they see someone baring onscreen. At the end of the day, I know it’s art we’re creating.
“It makes me proud once I see the outcome. Those who are saying things and negative comments, they don’t understand. I can accept that,” aniya pa.
Bago ang “High On Sex”, umapir din si Katrina sa pelikulang “Doblado” na idinirek din ni GB Sampedro kung saan gumanap siyang isang high-class prostitute.
Sa “High on Sex,” gagampanan naman niya ang isang dalagang nagtungo sa Amerika at pagbalik niya sa Pilipinas ay may bitbit ba siyang isang nakakalokang lihim. Dito, mas marami raw pasabog na sex scenes ang dalaga.
“I’ve always been a very sexually empowered woman. I just had to use that energy, channel it and pump it up to a hundred when I do sexy scenes,” aniya pa.
Mapapanood na ang “High on Sex” simula ngayong araw, June 5 sa Vivamax. Ka-join din dito sina Denise Esteban, Wilbert Ross, Angela Morena at Migs Almendras.
Samantala, inamin naman ni Katrina na nu’ng una ay kontra ang nanay niya na magpaseksi siya sa pelikula.
Pero aniya, talagang umuwi siya sa bansa mula sa UK para tuparin ang pangarap niya at ang muling maka-bonding ang lola niya, “I really wanted to find a career that would work for me here.”
Tungkol naman sa kanyang ina, “Initially, she really didn’t want me to do sexy roles. She was very tentative in saying yes.
“Naiilang siya to know maghuhubad ako in front of the camera. At the end of the day, my mom turned out to be super supportive in everything that I’ve been doing lately. She’s all out in supporting me,” pahayag pa ni Katrina.
Ayon pa sa dalaga, never naging taboo ang usaping sex sa kanya mula pa noong bata siya, “I say this all the time, that I’ve always been a sexually in-touch person. Talking about sex came very natural to me.
“It was more of a friends’ thing. My friends exposed me to it (sex) more than my parents did. My parents never hid what’s sex is about, but I don’t think we ever talked about it directly until I was older,” aniya pa.
“I think we should all be proud and embrace our sexual sides as people.
“Kahit hindi pa ready ang mga Pilipino, I hope we can spread the message and that will put us a step in the right direction towards making the word sex less taboo in the country,” dagdag pa ni Katrina.
Wish din ng dalaga na makagawa ng iba pang magagandang projects bukod sa mga sexy films, “I want to do everything and be versatile. I want to be able to do anything they throw at me. Lahat ng offer, dream role ko ‘yan.
“I just want to explore every opportunity that come my way. I want to take them all in, explore what I can do and push myself out of my comfort zone.
“It’s always just do your best for every scene and just give your everything, so you don’t have any regrets at the end of the day. As long as the scene needs it, I’ll do everything I’m capable of to execute it the best that I can,” pahayag pa ng Vivamax bombshell.
