“USUALLY kapag nag-end ang relationship, mahal pa rin naman nila ang isa’t isa, e!” Ito ang nasabi ni Moira dela Torre sa isang panayam patungkol sa paghihiwalay at pagpapatawad.
Hot na hot pa ring pinag-uusapan ngayon ang controversial breakup nina Moira at Jason Marvin Hernandez at kanya-kanya pa ring hula ang lahat kung ano ba talaga ang dahilan ng biglaan nilang paghihiwalay.
At dahil nga rito, muling lumabas ang panayam ni Boy Abunda kay Moira noong 2020 kung saan napag-usapan nga ang tungkol sa pakikipagrelasyon na may konek sa mga hit songs niya na “Patawad” at “Paalam”.
“Usually, kapag nag-end ang relationship, mahal pa rin naman nila ang isa’t isa, e. They both want to fight for each other but the other person’s way is to let go and grow on his own and grow with God and the other one wants to stay and fight for what they have,” sabi ni Moira.
“With ‘Paalam,’ kahit may reason ka, kahit alam mo ‘yung reason kung bakit you have to separate ways, even if you know na that’s for your best, masakit pa rin e. Dito nilalabas niya lahat ng galit niya,” katwiran ng multi-awarded singer sa kantang ginawa nila ni Jason.
“When we finished writing ‘Patawad’ na kung mahirap mang magpaalam, mas mahirap magpatawad. Mahirap magpatawad ng mga mahal mo, mahirap magpatawad ng sarili,” aniya pa.
Dagdag pa niya, “It was really one of my notes to self that I have to forgive myself. I have to forgive my past. A lot of people don’t give people chances but everyone changes.”
May hugot din siya tungkol sa mga taong mas pinipiling umalis sa isang relasyon kesa magpatawad, “Mas madaling umalis kaysa i-point ‘yung blind spots nung mga mahal natin sa buhay.
“Imbes na i-point natin ‘yun and make that person feel na ‘hey I want to protect you. I wanna love you.’ Kapag nasaktan tayo pero nakita natin na ganu’n, aalis na lang tayo. Oftentimes, we don’t realize that hurting people hurt people,” esplika pa ng premyadong singer-songwriter.
Inamin ni Jason na naging unfaithful siya kay Moira na isa sa naging dahilan ng pagkawasak ng kanilang married life.
Narito naman ang bahagi ng official statement ni Moira tungkol sa breakup nila ni Jason, “For those of you who know my story, you can imagine the long journey of grieving and healing I have ahead of me. The revelations of things that happened over the last two years have been difficult, painful, and heartbreaking to process.
“In spite of the pain, I’m experiencing, let me set the record straight. While our marriage was not perfect, I have stayed true to my vows and I have never cheated on Jason.
“This has not been easy on either of us and our families. I only wish to put an end to the speculations regarding what happened between Jason and I. Though we’re no longer together, it still hurts to see fabricated stories being told about us.
“Most of which are so far from the truth. The both of us still have a long way to go when it comes to healing and we ask for respect during this difficult time.
“I don’t know what the future holds, but hope continues to be the song that I sing. Even in pain, especially in pain, I will continue to place my complete trust in the one who has never let me down.
“My heart, though still navigating this unexpected season, feels full because of all of your comforting mesaages. To those who are going thorough the same journey as me, I hear you and I send you love.”
