“If you’re wondering kung bakit ako nandito mag-isa, is because yun nga kumalat na nga yung virus sa bahay namin.

Just to be safe, for my safety. Para makapag-Showtime at para makapag-ASAP,” say pa ni Kim.

Pareho ang treatment ng US-based makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist na si Roi Santos sa kanyang celebrity and non-celebrity clients.

“Whenever I do make-up, same treatment pa rin kasi make-up has no rules. For me, kapag umupo kayo sa chair ko, I wanna do my best whether you are a celebrity or not,” say ni Roi sa online conference namin sa kanya recently.

Among Roi’s celebrity clients are Rufa Mae Quinto, Donita Rose, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, Jinkee Pacquiao, Cherie Gil, Bunny Paras, Beth Tamayo, Angel Jones, Maria Isabel Lopez and more.

What sets you apart from other make-up artists? “For me, its attention to details ang nagse-set apart sa akin kasi I try to tailor my skills to every single client.

“More than just doing a job, I am getting paid for what I love and that’s making people feel beautiful and empowered whether they’re celebrity or not,” say pa niya.

“Yes, lalo na ngayon na everything is on social media. Before I did celebrities po I only have 200 followers sa Instagram. And when I started doing celebrities, it skyrocketed to 51,000 sa Instagram kasi their followers follow you lalo na po kapag pino-post nila ‘yung make-up nila and they would tag you. I get a lot of inquiries sa mga fans nila,” say pa ni Roi.

Sobrang flawless. I was very amazed when I was doing her makeup.

I was nervous, you know. I was nervous at first kasi she’s an icon, she’s a legend. Again, I studied her face for a month,” pagbabalik-tanaw ni Roi.

‘Miss Cherie Gil, from this gown this is gonna be your eye shadow, this is gonna be your peg, OK po ba?’”
