“This holiday season will be different for our fellow Filipinos who were affected by Super Typhoon Odette. The most powerful storm of 2021, Odette affected more than 13 million Filipinos, 4 million of whom are children, and the count is still increasing.

“Super Typhoon Odette battered numerous parts of the Philippines and swept through several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao which caused serious devastation and threat to the lives of millions of children and their families.

“There have been widespread flooding and destruction of roads, public structures like schools and markets, as well as livelihood assets and agricultural crops. Houses in coastal communities were flattened and power and communication lines were damaged,” ang bahagi ng caption ni Bea sa kanyang IG post.

Pag-aalala pa niya, “Children’s access to food, shelter, education, health services, water and sanitation and hygiene, have been heavily impacted and are causing psychosocial distress to children and their caregivers.

“Many of them are already on the brink of hunger and at risk of getting sick from diseases and the COVID-19 virus.

“We need your urgent support to help these children and their families. We cannot make them wait.

“You can make a life-saving donation at bit.ly/SaveChildrenOdette or through www.savethechildren.org.ph. You may also refer your companies who may want to support Save the Children Philippines’ Typhoon Odette emergency response by sending an email to [email protected].

“Visit the page of @savethechildrenph and click the link on their bio to donate,” panawagan pa ni Bea.
