John Arcilla inialay ang ‘Venice’ best actor trophy sa mga pumanaw na mahal sa buhay

HANGGANG ngayon ay nasa Cloud 9 pa rin ang veteran actor na si John Arcilla matapos magwaging best actor sa katatapos lang na 78th Venice International Film Festival na ginanap sa Italy.

Si John ang kauna-unahang Filipino actor na nakatanggap na nasabing award mula sa prestihiyosong filmfest kung saan naka-level nga niya ang ilang Hollywood stars kabilang na sina Brad Pitt at Sean Penn.

Matindi ang panghihinayang ng Kapamilya actor na hindi niya personal na natanggap ang award dahil nasa Ilocos Sur nga siya para sa lock-in taping ng teleseryeng “Ang Probinsyano”.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Instagram account, ibinahagi ni John ang kanyang mensahe para sa makasaysayang pagkapanalo niya sa Venice International Film Festival 2021 dahil sa natatangi niyang performance sa pelikulang “On The Job: The Missing 8” na idinirek ni Erik Matti.

“I thank the 78Venice International Film Festival. I can’t find the right word about how I feel today! This VOLPI CUP is such a symbol of a milestone in my work as an actor. It fills my cup of life with full of blessings. 

“I wish I can share this to all my loved ones who left us in this lifetime. 

“This Most prestigious award I received today lift up my spirit to the Heavens and I am transforming this Joy, achievement or victory or Honor into love so that the loved ones I am missing can feel my heart outpouring with gratitude to all who love me and inspire me to get to where I am today and I’m thanking God for putting them into my life. 

“Some of them are gone. I wish I can embrace all the people I love and my Victory in one cup, but Nay as they say… Life Isn’t always perfect.

“Maybe, I should settle in changing the meaning of what a perfect life could be so I can both contain the Triumph and the love, embrace and presence of the people I am loving and missing in one cup at the same time. It is easy to say LIFE IS BITTER SWEET, but it still up to how we take which is more bitter or which is more sweet. 

“What I have now is maybe the cup of what a perfect life is or maybe not, but what I want now is to kiss the smiles and wishes of all of you and the joyful memories of those who are gone to feel this PERFECT CELEBRATION OF the Triumph of LIFE.

Samantala, pinuri rin sa movie ng mga nakapanood sa world premiere nito sa Italy ang Kapuso Drama King na si Dennis Trillo na gumanap naman bilang isang hitman.

Sabi nga ni Direk Erik, “We were told there could have been two Volpi Cups. John Arcilla and Dennis Trillo could have been on stage for the same award. Both did an exemplary job.”
