Julia miyembro na ng PCG Auxiliary K9 Squadron; Gerald super proud sa dyowa

SIGURADONG malaki ang naging impluwensiya ni Gerald Anderson sa pagpasok ng girlfriend niyang si Julia Barretto sa Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

Pormal nang inanunsiyo kahapon ang pagiging miyembro ng aktres ng Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary K9 Squadron. 

Sa Facebook post ng PCG, winelkam nila si Auxiliary Ensign Barretto sa pamamagitan ng isang oath-taking ceremonies na pinamunuan ni Commandant CG Admiral George Ursabia.

Nakasabay ni Julia sa nasabing oath-taking sina Auxiliarist Ando Cruise Catipay, Auxiliarist Jalil Laidan, at Auxiliarist Harold Jocel Talan, na ginanap sa PCG National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.

Present din sa event ang boyfriend ni Julia na si Gerald na isa nang auxiliary lieutenant commander ng PCGA K9 Squadron.

Narito ang official announcement ng PCG na naka-post sa kanilang Facebook page: “MEET THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE PCG AUXILIARY K9 SQUADRON!

“The Philippine Coast Guard has welcomed AUXILIARY ENSIGN JULIA BARRETTO in the PCG Auxiliary K9 Squadron today, 01 September 2021.

“PCG Commandant, CG Admiral George V Ursabia Jr expressed his gratitude to the new members of the PCGA who committed to serve the nation by supporting the Coast Guard in the performance of humanitarian missions and disaster response operations.

“During the event, the Coast Guard Commandant highlighted the increasing need for K9 units in the country for the promotion of national security.

“With the construction of the PCG – PPA K9 Academy in Clark, Pampanga, CG Admiral Ursabia shared that the Department of Transportation – Philippines (DOTr), through PCG and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), could soon provide high quality and competent K9 units in different government agencies nationwide.

“As the most senior appointee, Auxiliary Ensign Barretto was given an opportunity to speak on behalf of her fellow PCGA members.

“She thanked the PCG, especially the PCGA K9 Squadron, for welcoming her into the field of public service. In return, she pledged to actively support the initiatives of the unit towards the delivery of humble and compassionate service to the Filipino people.

“Auxiliary Lieutenant Commander Gerald Anderson of the PCGA K9 Squadron also witnessed the low-key event.

“NOTE: Auxiliary means volunteer. Members of the PCGA are commited to serve the PCG by offering their time, efforts, and resources without expecting anything in return. #PureVolunteerism.”
Nangako naman si Julia na maglalaan ng sapat na panahon para magampanan ang kanyang mga tungkulin bilang public servant, “towards the delivery of humble and compassionate service to the Filipino people.”
