NANANATILING si Mr. Johnny Manahan o Mr. M ang kinikilalang “ama” ni Piolo Pascual sa loob ng 27 years niya sa showbiz.
Taong 1994 nang magsimula ang aktor sa pag-aartista, una siyang napanood sa youth-oriented variety show na “That’s Entertainment” sa GMA 7.
Ni-launch naman siya noong 1996 bilang isa sa unang batch ng Star Circle ng ABS-CBN.
Nitong Linggo, Araw ng mga Ama, ay ipinost ni Piolo ang larawan nila ni Mr. M at madamdamin ang kuwento niya kung paano siya inalagaan ng dating head ng Star Magic, at umaasa siyang muli silang magjakasama sa isang proyekto.
Say ni PJ, “Today I celebrate my Dad, Mr. M. Through all the ups and downs in my showbiz career, he has always been my anchor from the time I started doing workshops when I was a teenager, until I was launched as part of Star Circle back in ‘96.
“Mr. M personally attended to all our needs and made sure we were equipped before he sent us out to reach for our dreams.
“I’ve said it before and I’m reminded of how my Dad has always been consistent and constant in every choice I had to make there was always room for talks, sometimes scolding (which was for my good),” pahayag ni Piolo.
Aniya, itinuring na niyang ikalawang ama si Mr. M mula nang maging bahagi siya ng Kapamilya Network, “He’s not just a manager but more like a Father to most of us. I don’t think I’d have done things in my career without his help and guidance.
“25 years of Star Magic 25 years of security:) family, siblings and all. Dad, thank you very much for your unconditional love and for being a true dad to me.
“I’ll never have it any other way as we both say, we never stop being better not just at what we do, but ultimately being better people you have my utmost respect and love Dad,I love you and I miss you very much. Ayon naman sa mommy ni Kathryn Bernardo na si Mommy Min, “Naiyak naman ako PJ. Thanks for unconditional love Mr. M.”
Binati rin ang tatay ni Inigo Pascual ng mga handler ng Star Magic ng “Happy Father’s Day”.
Maraming netizens naman ang nag-react sa sinabi ni Piolo na, “Can’t wait to see us grinding again.”
Isa sa mga nabasa naming komento, “Can’t wait to see us grinding again? Naku-naku baka kunin pa ni Mr. M si Piolo sa GMA7 naku po ‘wag na di na po s’ya mabenta at andun na ang drama king Dennis Trillo at John Lloyd Cruz. Pls lang iwan mo na sya sa ABS CBN napaglipasan na po sya.”
May nagtanggol naman kay Papa P at nagsabing, “Baks I’d choose Piolo over Alden and Daniel Padilla any day. I’m not saying your opinion is wrong, but I’m just saying Papa P will always be bankable!”
